About Grace

Hi! My name is Grace O’Brien, I am a licensed Real Estate Broker and Realtor with the Gardner Real Estate Group. We are located in the Arts District, downtown Portland, Maine.

I started my Real Estate adventure in 2018 after a long, 20+ year career in the hospitality industry. Since day one I have worked hard for my clients and so far I have helped hundreds of families and individuals buy or sell homes, condos or raw land here in Maine! With these sales and experience, I can honestly say, I have found my calling. I started out focusing on buyer representation where I could connect with people, a lot of whom were first time home buyers, and help guide them through what is usually the largest, most intimidating purchase of their lives. I loved it! Since then I have had many repeat clients call on me when it is time to upsize, downsize or just move on to help both buy more property and/or sell what they have.

My husband, Mat O’Brien, is also a local business owner operating a design/ build firm right here in Portland. Our complimentary professions cross frequently and I am forever grateful for his support. He is an excellent resource for me and for my clients. In addition to the design studio and field carpenters he runs a specialty hardwoods lumberyard and a custom cabinet and woodworking shop.

We live in Falmouth, Maine with our two daughters, Kiera and Ella, and our rescue dog, Zara.
